Frequently Asked Questions

You can explore our range of programs to find one that aligns with your level and goals.

Ijazah is awarded only through our dedicated Ijazah programs, such as Jazariyyah or Khakaniyyah. Other general Tajweed courses do not offer an Ijazah.

Our Tajweed program is offered at three levels:

  • Nada ul Quloob (Basic Level): A short introductory course completed in just 6 days.
  • Gaythul Quloob (Intermediate Level): A comprehensive 6-month program.
  • Anharul Quloob (Advanced Level): An in-depth 6-month course designed for advanced learners.

Each level builds upon the previous one, allowing you to progress at your own pace.

To enroll, simply visit our Courses page and browse the available programs. Each course includes a detailed description and how to enroll. All students are required to create an account with Al-Asl’s  Moodle platform.

For some advanced programs, a brief interview via phone or virtual call may be required as part of the application process.

All of our courses are conducted online through Zoom for live sessions and Moodle for course materials, assignments, and recorded content. This allows students to learn from anywhere in the world with ease and flexibility.

Our courses are designed for women and youth. Age requirements vary by course:

  • Women’s courses may have a minimum age requirement of 15 years and above.
  • Youth courses are open to both boys and girls aged 13 to 22.

Please refer to individual course descriptions for specific age eligibility.

Most of our courses are offered primarily in Urdu, as Al-Asl is committed to preserving and promoting Islamic learning through this rich and classical language. However, select courses will also be available in English. The language of instruction for each course will be clearly specified in the course description.

We offer both live interactive classes and access to recorded sessions. Live classes provide real-time interaction with instructors, while recorded sessions ensure flexibility for students who need to catch up.

Yes. Most live sessions are recorded and made available through Moodle, so you can catch up at your own pace. However, regular attendance is encouraged to benefit from live interaction and Q&A.

We teach according to the Qira’ah of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim by default but also introduce students to the principles behind the differences in Qira’at. Our institute does not promote any one madhhab exclusively but focuses on mainstream Sunni scholarship.

It depends on the nature and workload of the courses. While you’re welcome to enroll in multiple programs, we recommend starting with one course to ensure you can manage the time and commitment required. Some advanced programs may require your full attention.

Yes. Upon successful completion of a course and passing the final assessment, students receive a certificate from Al-Asl, endorsed by qualified teachers.

After you’ve signed up or applied for any of our courses, we will review your application form and contact you with the next steps. Depending on the course you’re enrolling in, you may be invited to a phone interview to confirm your readiness. If your application is successful, we will proceed with the registration and you can make your payment online. If you have not heard from us for more than 3 days after you’ve submitted your application, please contact us immediately.
